Title: The Wonders of Worship II

MEMORIZE: God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24 (NKJV)

BIBLE READING JOHN 4:23-24 (NKJV)

[23]But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

[24]God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

MESSAGE

The greatest wonder of worship is that it is the surest way of getting God’s attention. This is because it is the most important ingredient to answered prayers, Isaiah 55:6 says: “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”

There may be times when it seems like you cannot find God when you seek Him, and other times when it seems like He isn’t answering your call because He is not near.

However, according to today’s Bible text, God Himself will seek those who worship Him in spirit and truth. If you worship God in spirit and truth, He will seek you out Himself.

Believe me, God knows your address; He knows how to find you when He needs to pay you a visit. Hence, you must constantly be in a position of purity so that when you worship Him, He will visit you with His blessings.

Make the decision to ensure that you’re living in obedience to God’s word in every aspect of your life: that’s what if means To worship Him in spirit and in worship.

REFLECTION

Is your lifestyle commensurate with the worship you’re offering to God?

HYMN 10 – PRAISE, MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN

  1. Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
To His feet your tribute bring.
    Ransom’d, heal’d, restor’d, forgiven,
Who like thee His praises should sing?
    Praise Him! Praise Him!
    Praise the everlasting King!
  2. Praise Him for His grace and favor
    To our fathers in distress.
Praise Him, still the same as ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless.
    Praise Him! Praise Him!
    Glorious in His faithfulness!
  3. Father-like He tends and spares us; Well our feeble frame He knows.
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes.
    Praise Him! Praise Him!
    Widely yet His mercy flows!
  4. Angels, help us to adore Him; Ye behold Him face to face.
Sun and moon, bow down before Him,
Dwellers all in time and space.
    Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise with us the God of grace!
