TOPIC: JOY UNSPEAKABLE
MEMORISE: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1 Peter 1:8
READING: 1 CORINTHIANS 2:9
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Believe in God!
Today’s Confession: I confess today that I receive joy unspeakable from the Lord, and my testimony will leave me speechless with wonder in Jesus’ name. Somebody shout Hallelujah!
MESSAGE
Joy Unspeakable is the kind of joy that overwhelms you so much that even when you want to express it verbally, you will find yourself speechless.
Some years ago, we had a programme in a town called Ota in Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria.
A lady who had been barren for several years attended that programme and asked for prayers because her husband’s relatives had threatened to throw her out of the housebthat same year.
The following year, we were holding another programme somewhere else, and there was a long queue of people who wanted me to pray for them.
This lady was part of the people, and when it got to her turn, she kept opening her mouth to speak but no words came out.
Finally, she was able to utter just one word, “Jesus”. When she was finally able to speak, she explained that she was the barren woman whom I prayed for the previous year.
It was then that I realized why she had been speechless earlier; she was carrying a baby on her left arm and another on her right – she had given birth to twins.
Today’s memory verse says that if you believe in God, He will make joy unspeakable available to you.
All you have to do is to believe in Him. My prayer for you is that very soon you will experience joy unspeakable, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER POINT
Lord, please let me experience joy unspeakable, in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 4 –
BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice!
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!
2 Be joyful, for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His word;
The Mighty and strong to redeem
Ezoic
3 What though in the conffict for right
Your enemies almost prevail,
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4 Though darkness surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’ercast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay,
But trust till the danger is past.
5 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song;
With harp, and with organ and voice
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
