Title: Virginity Plus Others

MEMORIZE: that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, Titus 2:4 (NKJV)

BIBLE READING 2 PETER 1:5-8 (NKJV)

[5]But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

[6]to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

[7]And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

[8]For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Message:

One of the wrong notions passed on to young girls is that virginity is the best gift for one’s husband on the wedding night. Well, there is nothing wrong with this, however, I have heard about many marriages that led to divorce, even though both the man and woman were virgins.

There’s no joy in getting married to a virgin who has poor hygiene, ill manners, poor cooking skills or who is disobedient, talks too much, et cetera; such a woman will frustrate her husband.

Likewise, a virgin man who is lazy, makes silly financial decisions, spends anyhow, doesn’t submit to a father figure, and is non-futuristic in planning will eventually sink his marriage.

Dear child, the best time to prepare for marriage is now that you’re not yet married. Get hold of some good resources, either in books or online, to learn about different aspects of marriage and how to deal with certain circumstances.

Learn how to clean, cook, speak and act. Add all these to your virginity, and you will have a beautiful home with your future spouse. I pray that you will get it right in Jesus’ name.

KEY POINT

The best time to prepare for marriage is when you’re not yet married.

HYMN 5 – TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE

1. Take my life and let it
Consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my moment and my days
Let them flow ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee

3. Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king;
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee.
