Title: Not Young Forever
Memorize: So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 9:4 (Nkjv)
[4] I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Message:
Some teenagers live their lives now as if they will remain teenagers for life.
They are unserious with their studies, don’t set goals, and practice social vices with out caring about any consequences.
My dear child, the behavior or habits you form in your teenage years will greatly influence your adulthood.
This influence can either be positive or negative, depending on how you’re living now.
Therefore, live well now because you’re not getting younger. I was once a teenager, but now, I am an elderly man.
Some of the ideals I developed then are still sustaining me.
One of the best ways to make good use of your early days is to serve God.
Jesus, in today’s Bible reading, made it clear that there are seasons in everyone’s life; there is a morning, and there will be a night.
You are in your morning now, and believe me, this is the time to work for God. This is the time to win souls for God. This is also the time to study hard and follow your goals.
Don’t wait until the evening time of your life when you will have no strength to pursue your goals.
Be wise in your decisions and make good use of your teenage years. I pray that your morning will not be wasted, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point:
Father, please help me not to make choices that will ruin my morning.
HYMN 55 – CHRISTIAN, SEEK NOT YET REPOSE
1 Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose;
Hear Thy Guardian Angel Say,
“Thou Art In The Midst Of Foes:
Watch And Pray!”
2 Principalities And Powers,
Mustering Their Unseen Array,
Wait For Thy Unguarded Hours:
“Watch And Pray.”
3 Gird Thy Heavenly Armour On;
Wear It Every Night And Day
Ambush’d Lies The Evil One:
“Watch And Pray.”
4 Hear The Victors Who O’ercame;
Still They Mark Each Warrior’s Way;
All With One Sweet Voice Exclaim,
“Watch And Pray!”
5 Hear, Above AlI, Hear Thy Lord,
Him Thou Lovest To Obey;
Hide Within Thy Heart His Word:
“Watch And Pra!.”
6 Watch, As If On That Alone
Hung The Issue Of The Day;
Pray, That Help May Be Sent Down:
Watch And Pray.
