Title: Don’t Limit Yourself
Memorize: Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Proverbs 6:6
Bible Reading: Proverbs 6:6-8
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
Message:
When King Solomon wanted to make a reference to an animal from which we can learn wisdom, he didn’t ask us to go to lions or elephants, who are big in size; rather, he referred us to ants. A good lesson to learn from the ant is that your size should not affect your performance or achievements in life. Don’t see your age, size, or any disability you might have as a limitation.
Someone once said, “Great things come in small packages.” Your tribe, colour, health status, social status, et cetera do not matter. You can do big things in your own circle of influence; never look down on yourself or anyone.
Any teenager who doesn’t want to be limited in life must acquire knowledge from various sources. You should know a bit about everything so that you can fit into different situations and still succeed. Just as the sky is large enough for all birds to fly in, so is the world big enough for everyone to thrive.
Confession:
I break free from every limiting mindset. I am not small; I am a solution provider. I will never be limited!
HYMN 61 – TAKE THE NAME OF JESUS WITH YOU
1 Take the name of Jesus with you,
Child of sorrow and of woe.
It will joy and comfort give you,
Take it then where’er you go.
Chorus:
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven.
2 Take the name of Jesus ever
As a shield from evr’y snare;
If temptations ’round you gather,
Breathe that holy name in prayer.
3 Oh, the precious name of Jesus,
How it thrills our souls with joy,
When His loving arms receive us,
And His songs our tongues employ!
4 At the name of Jesus bowing,
Falling prostrate at His feet
King of kings, in heaven we’ll crown Him
When our journey is complete.
