[6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
[7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Message:
Sometimes , you may feel overwhelmed with anxiety because of various circumstances, such as exams, relationships, or uncertainty about the future, but I want to encourage you to be courageous in faith.
Faith is believing firmly in God. It helps you to trust in God’s plan and will that are beyond your understanding and find strength even when things seem to be uncertain. I remember when one of my Sunday School teachers of blessed memory, Pastor Seun Aderibigbe, taught me as a new convert that faith is when you obey your father when he tells you to jump down from a rooftop with a promise to catch you. When you jump, it shows that you have great trust in your father to do as he promised.
I have discovered that the more I draw closer to God, the more my faith grows, even in the face of terrible situations. You can also overcome any type of fear in your life when you constantly seek God and pour out your worries and anxieties to Him in prayers.
Prayer Point:
Father, please let my faith in You grow daily, in Jesus’ name.
