Title: As Sharp As An Eagle’s Eyes
Memorize: But blessed are your eyes for they see. Matthew 13:16 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 2 Kings 6:15-17 (Nkjv)
[15] And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
[16] So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
[17] And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Message:
The eagle is one of the most outstanding birds in the world because of its unique qualities.
It flies at a higher altitude than most birds and has very good vision.
Many teenagers lack vision, and that is why they are easily influenced by their friends and social trends.
They would rather jump on the bandwagon and end up doing the wrong things than set the pace in doing positive things.
You can be outstanding when your sight is as sharp as the eagle’s, and this can only be achieved with God’s help.
When God opens your spiritual eyes, you will have deep insights and understanding concerning matters beyond a physical viewpoint.
In today’s Bible reading, when Gehazi became afraid of the great army that came to arrest his master, Elisha told him not to be afraid because there were heavenly hosts on standby that could not be seen with physical eyes.
He then prayed that God should open Gehazi’s eyes, and the servant was able to see the horses and chariots of fire surrounding them.
My dear child, when your spiritual eyes are open, you Won’t follow people or trends blindly.
Your decisions will be based on divine revelations, and you will be a pacesetter.
Prayer Point:
Father, please give me insights and understanding beyond the physical viewpoint.
HYMN 60: MOST ANCIENT OF ALL MYSTERIES
1 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Before Thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.
2 When heav’n and earth were yet unmade,
When time was yet unknown,
Thou in Thy bliss and majesty
Didst live and love alone.
3 Thou wert not born; there was no fount
From which Thy Being flowed;
There is no end which Thou canst reach;
But ThoU art simply God.
4 How wonderful creation is,
The work which Thou didst bless,
And O what then must Thou be like,
Eternal loveliness!
5 0 listen then, most pitiful,
To Thy poor creature’s heart:
It blesses Thee that Thou art God,
That Thou art what ThoU art.
6 Most ancient of all mysteries,
Still at thy throne we lie;
Have mercy now, most merciful,
Most holy Trinity.
