Title: Childlike Faith
Memorize: and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:1-4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Matthew 18:1-4 (Nkjv)
[1] At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
[2] Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,
[3] and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
[4] Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Message:
One of the characteristics of babies is that they do not worry about anything. They are not bothered about what they will eat, wear, or any other thing adults dwell so much on.
This is what our heavenly Father expects from us, His children. Although He wants us to work hard and achieve great things, He does not want us to worry about tomorrow because He will surely take care of it.
My dear child, what is bothering you? Is your health failing? Has your parents’ marriage fallen apart?
Are you afraid of a particular person, subject, or course? Tell God about it now, and stop worrying.
God wants you to trust and have faith in Him completely. Faith is an expression of confidence in God and His promises.
What the prodigal son expressed when he went back home was faith in his father; he was confident that his father would take him back.
Express this kind of childlike faith from today and watch how God will take care of you.
Action Point:
For the next 10 minutes, speak to your Father about whatever challenge
HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.
[Refrain]
3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
[Refrain]
4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.
[Refrain]
