Title: Knowing God II
Memorize: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Daniel 11:32 (Nkjv)
[32] Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
Message:
Being very active in church activities does not imply that a person truly knows God. In fact, no matter the amount of offerings or tithes a person gives, if he or she does not live in accordance with God’s word, such a person’s giving will not be acceptable to God. Knowing God means having an intimate relationship with Him.
It saddens my heart when see young people who claim to be God’s children, yet they need to be coerced or forced to go to church or participate in the things of God. Clearly, they do not know God, let alone have a relationship with Him. When you know God, you will love Him. This love will motivate you to serve Him and thirst for Him more. The more you love God, the more intimate you will become with Him. This intimacy will lead to humility, selflessness, and service to humanity.
You can know God by revelation. This revelation can only come in the place of constant fellowship with God. My dear child, desire to know God and walk with Him closely as Abraham and many other biblical characters did. They walked with God and ended well. I pray that you will end well too, in Jesus’ name.
Action Point:
Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
Hymn 31: Wonderful Story Of Love
1 Wonderful story of love! Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love! Wake the immortal strain.
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, O won’t you believe it?
Wonderful story of love!
Refrain:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful story,
Wonderful story of love!
2 Wonderful story of love!
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love!
Still he doth call today.
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation;
Wonderful story of love!
3 Wonderful story of love!
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love!
For all the pure and blest;
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous
chorus;
Wonderful story of love!
