Title: The Office Of A Teacher
Memorize: A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. Proverbs 25:11 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Acts 8:27-31 (Nkjv)
[27] So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,
[28] was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.
[29] Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”
[30] So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
[31] And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.
Message:
Teaching is a gift of the Holy Spirit, who is the greatest teacher. If you have a problem understanding anything you have been taught by your earthly teachers in school or church, just say a prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to explain it to you and give you a better understanding.
When you continue asking sincerely, your mind will gradually open up, and you will begin to understand the things that were previously difficult to understand.
This was my experience when the Holy Spirit taught me how to go about my PhD thesis in just five hours after I had struggled with it for 18 months!
Perhaps you are also called into the ministry of teaching; the Holy Spirit wants to partner with you so that you can bring light to the dark areas that are confusing people in the world today.
However , you must take your relationship with Him seriously, study the Bible daily, and read widely on different things, events, theories, and concepts.
My dear child, for you to be an effective teacher, you must be more knowledgeable than your learners so that you can easily understand and interpret things and bring clarity where there is confusion.
Key Point:
God wants to partner with you to bring understanding to those who are confused in the world.
HYMN 33: GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH!
1: Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me now and evermore (2ce)
2: Open Thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow:
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through:
Song deliverer! Song deliverer!
Be Thou still my strength and shield (2ce).
3: If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside:
Bear me through the swelling torrent,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side:
Songs of praises! Songs of praises!
I will ever give to Thee (2ce).
4: Saviour, come! We long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with thee above;
And to know in full communion,
All the sweetness of Thy love.
Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus!
Take thy waiting people home (2ce).
