Title: The Mighty Presence
Memorize: Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. Exodus 33:15 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 15:5 (Nkjv)
[5] I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Message:
One of the secrets behind Moses’ success as the leader of the lsraelites is that he knew the importance of God’s presence in every aspect of life.
He cherished God’s presence to the point that he would not make any move without the certainty of His approval.
God told Moses that His presence would be with them (Exodus 33:14-15); this assured Moses of success, victory, and safety and gave him rest of mind.
It is surprising that some believers think they can achieve whatever they want to without God being in it.
They live carelessly without being careful to ask God for His counsel before making decisions, whereas our Lord Jesus Christ said in today’s Bible reading that without Him, no man can achieve anything.
My dear child, before you go on any journey, start any project, write any exam, make any decision, et cetera, please ask for God’s presence.
His presence guarantees safety, success, breakthroughs, victory, and eternal life in heaven.
Prayer Point:
Lord, please give me the grace to abide in Your presence throughout my life.
HYMN 9: IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, GOD ONLY WISE
1 Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious,
Thy great name we praise.
2 Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains
of goodness and love.
3 To all life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.
4 Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render, O help us to see:
‘Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.
