Title: Live By The Minute
Memorize: I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. John 9:4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Ephesians 5:15-17 (Nkjv)
[15] See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
[16] redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
[17] Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Message:
Living by the minute simply means making every minute of one’s life count. It involves doing the right thing at the right time. To live by the minute, however, a fellow needs to discover God’s purpose for his or her life and work towards fulfilling it. Beloved, have you discovered God’s plan for your life? If you have, are you working towards fulfilling it?
It is important to note that having big dreams, making ambitious plans, and writing down goals that align with God’s purpose for your life is not enough. It is also crucial to start taking small actions towards those plans now. You can achieve this by breaking down your goals into quarterly action points. Then, you can further break them down into monthly and weekly objectives before breaking them down into daily tasks. Thus, it will be easier to fulfil your quarterly or yearly goals.
Today’s memory verse shows that time is limited; hence, you must work hard now that you’re still young. My dear child, you can hit and exceed your goals and expectations for this year if you are intentional about every minute of your life. I pray that my Daddy will grant you the grace to work towards fulfilling His purpose for your life, in Jesus’ name.
Key Point:
Don’t waste time; instead, make each day count.
Hymn 10: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way
1 I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Chorus:
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Heaven’s tableland;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
2 My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My constant aim is higher ground.
3 Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
To rest beneath unclouded skies
Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground
4 I long to scale the utmost height
Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
My song while climbing, shall resound
“Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”
