Title: Don’t Fit In
Memorize: Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love Ephesians 1:4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Psalm 139:14-15 (Nkjv)
[14] I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
[15] My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Message:
Before you were born, God chose, loved, valued, and accepted you.
However, because we live in a world where everyone is trying to fit in, it’s easy for a person to lose sight of who he or she really is.
Similarly, social media, peer pressure, and trends can make one feel like he or she has to change to be accepted, but the truth is that a person’s true worth isn’t found in how many likes he or she gets or how well he or she fits in; it’s found in Christ.
When you give your life to Jesus, you’re completely transformed. Your past mistakes, insecurities, and fears no longer define you.
The world may try to put labels on you like ‘not good enough,’ ‘too weird,’ ‘too different,’ but God’s labels are the only ones that matter.
He calls you His child (John 1:12), His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10), and His friend (John 15:15).
My dear child, instead of chasing the latest trends or trying to be someone you’re not, focus on what God says about you.
You’re not a mistake or an accident; you were created as a masterpiece. So, embrace your identity in Christ and stop seeking approval from people.
Key Point:
Don’t try to fit in, stand out!
HYMN: 10 I’M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY
1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
Refrain:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table land;
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
2. My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Tho’ some may dwell where these abound,
My pray’r, my aim is higher ground.
3. I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.
4. I want to scale the utmost height,
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till Heav’n I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
