Title: People To Avoid

Memorize: Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, Proverbs 22:24 (Nkjv)

Bible Reading: Proverbs 22:24-25 (Nkjv)

[24] Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go,

[25] Lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.

Message:

Everyone needs a support system, someone they can run to when in trouble, or someone who stands by them through thick and thin.
This support system can be in the form of a friend, colleague, or a group of like-minded individuals.
Having realized the need for a support system, you must be careful who you choose to be your friend.
Please be wary of those who flare up at the slightest misunderstanding.
Though they may be good people, they just can’t get a hold of their temper when angry.
They have carried weights of pains from their pasts and have learnt to unleash their anger over anyone who may trigger their unhappiness, whether consciously or unconsciously.
Dear child, please note that you can’t change anyone, but you can keep praying for the Holy Spirit to work on their weaknesses.
Likewise, don’t make friends with anyone who would lure you into sin, neither should you make friends with lazy people, thieves, disrespectful people, et cetera, so you won’t become like them.

Action Point:
Evil communication corrupts good manners. Don’t be caught with people of no virtue.

HYMN 18 – WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

  1. When we walk with the Lord,
In the light of His word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will
    He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey!
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt nor a fear,
Not a sigh nor a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share
    But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
    For the favour He shows
    And the joy He bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,

What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
