Title: Eliminate Noises

Memorize: My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Proverbs 4:20

Bible Reading; Proverbs 4:20-22

[20] My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings

[21] Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;

[22]  For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.

Message:

The reason many young people are getting distracted today is that they are listening to different noises and are paying attention to distractions, especially on social media.

A child of God who is genuinely born again, but still sins because he/she heard from a preacher that we are in the season of grace, will eventually incur the wrath of God.

These preachers are not from God; they speak heresies to derail young people from the path of righteousness to the path of destruction. How can you eliminate these noises?

1. Check the messenger of the word to know whether he was truly sent by God or not. Check if the person is truly born again.

2. Check the word of God to ascertain every spoken word that you hear.

If you are truly focused on making it to Heaven, you must dwell more with the Scriptures, get personal revelations from God, and not be carried away by every wind of doctrine.

BIBLE QUIZ:
Is Horeb the name of a town or a mountain?

Action Point:

Consciously stay away from messages that contradict the word of God.

HYMN 6: I’M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY

1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining everyday;
Still praying as I onward bound
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2. My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise, and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My constant aim is higher ground.

3. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
To rest beneath unclouded skies,
Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground.

4. I long to scale the utmost height,
Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
My song, while climbing, shall resound
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

5. Lord, lead me up the mountain side
I dare not climb without my Guide;
And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
With grateful heart from higher ground.
