Title: The Wisdom of Men
Memorize: Moreover your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there; to them I will give it, and they shall possess it. Deuteronomy 1:39 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading (Nkjv): Genesis 2:15-17
[15] Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
[16] And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
[17] but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Message:
The wisdom of men enables them to make choices based on human knowledge and personal preferences rather than simple obedience to the word of God.
The wisdom of men is usually exhibited by those who are controlled by natural instincts. For example, when God says, “thou shalt not steal,” a boy or girl controlled by this kind of wisdom might say, “if I play smart on people, I can still get money from them without stealing it.” So, he/she becomes fraudulent.
In another common example, a boy/girl who is filled with the wisdom of men will not have sex but engage in other sexual activities even though the Bible says in Hebrews 13:4 that “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefined.”. Every kind of sexual activity defiles the doer, who is the temple of God.
Beloved, the wisdom of men may appear logical, but it’s not in line with the word of God neither is it inspired by the Holy Spirit, therefore, it will eventually lead to destruction.
Prayer Point:
Father, please help me to operate with Your wisdom from now on.
HYMN 3 – ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER
1. All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
CHORUS
I surrender all.
I surrender all:
All to Thee, my blessed savior
I surrender all
2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken.
Take me, Jesus, take me now.
3. All to Jesus I surrender.
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
4. All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
