Title: Seek and Knock
Memorize: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading (Nkjv): Matthew 7:7-8
[7] Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
[8] For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Message:
God has said in His word that He will not withhold any good thing from His children, so, if you diligently seek Him in prayers concerning your needs, you will get them.
His words assure us that if we seek, we shall find, and if we knock, we will gain entrance, but the reality is that not everyone who seeks will find.
This is why you must take Isaiah 55:6 seriously. It says: “Seek ye the LORD While he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”
The seeker and knocker must seek and knock at the right time so that he or she can get the blessings at the right time.
However, many Christians use God as their last resort. They wait until they fail in their academics, businesses, marriages, careers, et cetera, before they run to God for help.
The only reason they eventually find Him is when He decides to show mercy. My dear, cultivate the habit of seeking God first before taking any step or performing any task.
Action Point:
The time you seek/knock determines when you will find God.
HYMN 13 – PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOR
1. Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
CHORUS
Savior Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
2. Let me, at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
3. Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
4. Thou, the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee
