Title: Antidote To Depression
Memorize: For His anger is but for a moment, his favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but [a]joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading (Nkjv): Proverbs 17:22
[22] A merry heart [a]does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
Message:
Depression is a state of deep sorrow that leaves its victim in perpetual misery.
People in this state usually feel lonely and rejected. Often, it begins from doubt that God can intervene in follow’s bad situation.
If you are in this state, I want to let you know today that God loves you dearly and does not want you to believe anything less
3 John 2 says: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
The above scripture says God desires that your soul should prosper. I want you to know that a prosperous soul is a joyous one, and this is the opposite of depression.
Dear child, the antidote to depression is the word of God. Study and meditate on it.
Also, surround yourself with people who will constantly speak words of encouragement to you.
Key Point:
Do not let the word of God depart from your mouth.
HYMN 1 – BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made Him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
CHORUS
Rejoice! Rejoice!..
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
Rejoice! Rejoice!.
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
2. Be joyful for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His words;
The “Mighty” and “Strong” to redeem.
3. What tho’ in the conflict for right
Your enemies almost prevail!
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4. Tho’ darkness Surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’er cast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay.
But trust till the danger is past.
5. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song:
With harp, and with organ, and voice,
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
