Title: What Are Your Priorities?
Memorize: But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 4:23-24 (Nkjv)
[23] But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
[24] God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Message:
The Scriptures present us with a marked difference between the priorities of our Lord Jesus Christ and the concerns of His disciples.
Like His disciples, many young people are too bothered with their physical, psychological, and emotional needs other than spiritual ones.
They immerse themselves in temporal concerns. Jesus assured His disciples that the Father knew their needs and would always provide for them.
He also described what should be the topmost priority of all Heaven-bound Christians in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
It is time to reprioritize your life and passion. If you make God your priority, the necessities of daily life will be provided unto you.
Everyone who dedicates themselves to serving God in spirit and in truth will enjoy divine favor, which is superior to luck or good fortune
Action Point:
Seek a deeper relationship with the Lord from today, and you will be blessed.
HYMN 9 – O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED
1. O Jesus, I have promised
To serve Thee to the end;
Be Thou for ever near me,
My Master and my Friend:
I shall not fear the battle
If Thou art by my side,
Nor wander from the pathway
If Thou wilt be my Guide.
2. O let me feel Thee near me;
The world is ever near;
I see the sights that dazzle,
The tempting sounds I hear;
My foes are ever near me,
Around me and within;
But, Jesus, draw Thou nearer,
And shield my soul from sin.
3. O let me hear Thee speaking
In accents clear and still,
Above the storms of passion,
The murmurs of self-will;
O speak to reassure me,
To hasten or control;
O speak and make me listen,
Thou Guardian of my soul.
4. O Jesus, Thou hast promised
To all who follow Thee,
That where Thou art in Glory
There shall Thy servant be;
And, Jesus, I have promised
To serve Thee to the end;
O give me grace to follow
My Master and my Friend.
