Title: Thank You Father!
Memorize: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Psalm 103:2 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Psalm 150:1-6 (Nkjv)
[1] Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
[2] Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
[3] Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
[4] Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
[5] Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
[6] Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Message:
In Isaiah 38:19, King Hezekiah declared with profound truth that only the living can praise the Lord.
Whenever I consider the loving kindness of God and His tender mercies, demonstrated through protection, forgiveness, love, provision, good health, and above all salvation of the soul, I always come to the conclusion that, indeed, the Lord has been very gracious to His children.
My child, you have many things to be thankful for.
David, in Psalm 103:1-5, counselled his soul to bless the Lord in thanksgiving.
He admonished himself not to forget any of God’s benefits. Sometimes, due to one’s daily busy schedule, it is possible not to constantly remember to thank God.
Therefore, I want you to speak to your soul like the psalmist and decree that you will never forget all the benefits of God, and whenever you remember any, you will not stay silent.
Beloved, if you remain thankful, your tank of blessings will be full as you enter the new year.
Key Point:
In the next 10 minutes, thank God for what He has done for you.
HYMN 1 – BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made Him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
CHORUS
Rejoice! Rejoice!..
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
Rejoice! Rejoice!.
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
2. Be joyful for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His words;
The “Mighty” and “Strong” to redeem.
3. What tho’ in the conflict for right
Your enemies almost prevail!
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4. Thơ’ darkness Surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’er cast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay.
But trust till the danger is past.
5. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song:
With harp, and with organ, and voice,
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
