Title: Discover New Places
Memorize: The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Genesis 12:1-4 (Nkjv)
[1] Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.
[2] I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.
[3] I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
[4] So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
Message:
One of the things my children enjoyed while growing up was travelling with us everywhere we went.
We went to church, social functions, outreaches, and crusades together.
Many times, I took them on long walks to appreciate nature and emphasize the wonders of God and His blessings to humanity.
These days, when I see young people staying indoors, glued to their electronic gadgets, I understand why many of them don’t appreciate God for all His works.
It was when Abraham gazed at the stars that God gave him the promise about the birth of Isaac.
Discovering unfamiliar places is an adventure that offers many benefits. Whether you travel to your hometown, a new city, or abroad, travelling gives you the opportunity to step away from your normal routines to clear your mind, broaden your horizon, meet new people, and learn about new cultures.
My dear child, leaving your comfort zone can improve your physical and mental well- being and enhance your creativity.
One easy way you can visit new places is by going on outreaches to villages.
You will not only learn about the people and their lifestyle, but you will also win souls for Christ.
Action Point:
Attend an event or visit a new place, once in every quarter of the year.
HYMN 7 – WONDERFUL STORY OF LOVE
1. Wonderful story of love!
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love!
Wake the immortal strain.
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, O won’t you believe it?
Wonderful story of love!
REFRAIN:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful story, Wonderful story of love!
2. Wonderful story of love!
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love!
Still he doth call today.
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation;
Wonderful story of love!
3. Wonderful story of love!
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love!
For all the pure and blest;
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus;
Wonderful story of love!
