Title: Prospering Through Helpers
Memorize: Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor Ecclesiastes 4:9 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 2 Kings 5:1-4 (Nkjv)
[1] Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.
[2] And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife.
[3] Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”
[4] And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.”
Message:
Years ago, when the Redeemed Christian Church of God was not as big as it is now, I used to lay hands on congregants alone during Holy Ghost Services.
Now that we are much bigger, I have helpers. I don’t want to imagine how I would cope without other ministers of God to help me.
As a Christian, you are called to live in a community, support others, and work alongside others to achieve common goals.
It is through relationships with others that you can have true prosperity.
Today’s memory verse emphasizes the importance of partnership and the strength that can be obtained from working with others.
You can achieve more with the help of others.
At different times, you will need people to encourage you and hold your hands when you seem to be tired and frustrated. However, for this to happen, you must build healthy relationships.
My dear child, no man is an island; you need people to navigate through life and live victoriously.
Remember, footballers rely on teamwork to be champions. With the help of God and man, you will be prosperous.
Action Point:
Build healthy relationships.
HYMN 17 – THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING
1. There shall be showers of blessing”
This is the promise of love;
There shall be season refreshing
Send from a savior above
CHORUS
Showers of blessing
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drop round are falling
But for the showers we plead.
2. “There shall be showers of blessing”
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys;
Sound of abundance of rain.
3. “There shall be showers of blessing”
Send them upon us Oh Lord!
Grant to us a refreshing;
Come now and honour Thy Word.
4. “There shall be showers of blessing”
Oh, that today thy might fall,
Now as to God we are confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
5. “There shall be showers of blessing”
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be season refreshing,
If we let God have his way.
