Title: Save Money II
Memorize: The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Malachi 3:10 (Nkjv)
[10] Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it
Message:
Today’s Bible passage attests to the fact that God Himself has a storehouse in heaven that accommodates the savings of His children.
Therefore, whenever you pay your tithes, offerings, and first fruits, you are increasing your savings account in heaven, which will be poured out to you whenever you need it or place a demand on God for withdrawal.
This is the reason I tell my children, “If there are no savings, there can’t be withdrawals.”
Another way to save is by avoiding impulse buying. Some people say that shopping is their hobby, therefore, they spend their money as it comes.
At the end of the day, they end up buying many things they don’t really need.
I will advise that if you wish to shop online or make purchases from vendors who advertise to you, you should wait for seven days before buying the items if they are not needed urgently.
Take your time to think about if the item is really worth it, why you want it, and if it is worth the price tag.
If the items do not meet all these criteria, please send the money that you intended to buy them to your savings account.
Key Point:
Don’t make impulse purchases, consider the things you buy and increase your savings.
HYMN 6 – MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
CHORUS
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2. When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3. His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
