Title: Daily Spiritual Fire
Memorize: not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; Romans 12:11 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Leviticus 6:10-13 (Nkjv)
[10] And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen trousers he shall put on his body, and take up the ashes of the burnt offering which the fire has consumed on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
[11] Then he shall take off his garments, put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
[12] And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.
[13] A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.
Message:
When a person receives salvation, his or her spirit is awakened, and God’s fire is ignited, as he or she continues to walk in holiness and devotion.
However, maintaining this spiritual fire requires diligence, consistency, and a deep desire for God.
In today’s Bible reading, God commanded that “A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.”
Just as the priests in the Old Testament ensured that the fire on the altar never went out, you must also keep the fire of your relationship with God burning.
This fire symbolises purity, zeal, and the power of the Holy Spirit, which enables you to stand boldly for Christ and overcome spiritual challenges.
To maintain a daily spiritual fire, stay committed to prayer, worship, and obedience.
Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your heart daily. Avoid sin, distractions, and negative influences that could weaken your faith.
You also need to surround yourself with believers who are positively minded.
Child of God, when you maintain a daily spiritual fire, you will be able to easily overcome every challenge that comes your way.
Action Point:
Avoid sin and any distraction that can quench your fire.
HYMN 8: THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR
1 Through the love of God our Saviour,
all will be well.
Free and changeless is his favour,
all, all is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us,
perfect is the grace that sealed us,
strong the hand stretched forth to shield us,
all must be well.
2 Though we pass through tribulation,
all will be well.
Ours is such a full salvation,
all, all is well.
Happy, still in God confiding,
fruitful, if in Christ abiding,
holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,
all must be well.
3 We expect a bright tomorrow,
all will be well.
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
‘All, all is well.’
On our Father’s love relying,
Jesus every need supplying,
in our living, in our dying,
all must be well.
