Title: Are You Procrastinating?
Memorize: See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise. Ephesians 5:15 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Ephesians 5:15-16 (Nkjv)
[15] See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
[16] redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Message:
Some people love putting off working on important tasks until it is almost too late. That is procrastination, and I have discovered that when a person makes procrastination a habit, he or she will eventually become a victim in life.
Some teenagers prefer to do things at their convenience, but this is not the best approach. Time is precious, and God wants us to use it wisely. Every time you postpone or ignore a task that should be done immediately, you may face consequences that you would have avoided. If you are wise, you will complete your tasks promptly, ensuring that the blessings and rewards that are meant for you will not be lost.
Laziness and procrastination can hinder God’s move in a person’s life, family, church, or community. My dear child, do not be the kind of person who is complacent about taking responsibilities. Instead, develop a diligent mindset and do things as early as you can. Don’t delay until tomorrow what you can do today.
Key Point:
Procrastination is a bad habit. Do things as soon as you can do them.
Hymn 4: Revive Thy Work, O Lord
1 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
and make Thy people hear.
Refrain:
Revive Thy work, O Lord,
while here to Thee we bow;
descend, O gracious Lord, descend!
O come and bless us now.
2 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
now let us thirst for Thee;
and hung’ring for the bread of life
may all our spirits be. [Refrain]
3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
exalt Thy precious name;
and, by the Holy Ghost, our love
for Thee and Thine inflame. [Refrain]
4 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
give pow’r unto Thy word;
grant that Thy blessed gospel may
in living faith be heard. [Refrain]
5 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
and give refreshing show’rs;
the glory shall be all Thine own,
the blessing, Lord, be ours. [Refrain]
