Title: Resolve To Be Humble
Memorize: Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 2 Kings 5:1-14 (Nkjv)
[1] Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.
[2] And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife.
[3] Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”

Message:
Most people do not have a problem with asking for help from someone who is ‘superior’ to them, but many find it difficult to seek help from people they consider to be beneath them.
This sort of attitude can rob them of their blessings. This year, I have decided that I will humble myself more than ever before. I will ask anyone who can assist me for help, irrespective of their status.
In secondary school, I was good at mathematics and other subjects, but I knew that I needed extra coaching to pass the English Language.
In those days, it didn’t matter how brilliant you were; if you passed all other subjects and failed the English Language, you would be considered a failure.
I then asked a junior of mine who was born in England and had a very good command of the English Language to teach me, and I got an A! If he boasts today that he taught me, it wouldn’t matter because I already have my certificate.
Beloved, make a resolution to be humble more than ever before this year. Remember, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).
Action Point:
Make a resolution to be humble
HYMN 1 – ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME

Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown Him Lord of all.
2.Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre,
and as they tune it, fall
Before His face Who tunes their choir,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Before His face Who tunes their choir,
and crown Him Lord of all.
3.Crown Him, ye morning stars of light,
Who fixed this floating ball;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,
and crown Him Lord of all.
4.Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God,
who from His altar call;
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod,
and crown Him Lord of all.
5.Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race,
ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all.
6.Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line,
Whom David Lord did call,
The God incarnate, Man divine,
and crown Him Lord of all,
The God incarnate, Man divine,
and crown Him Lord of all.
7.Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget
the wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
and crown Him Lord of all.
8.Let every tribe and every tongue
before Him prostrate fall
And shout in universal song
the crownèd Lord of all.
And shout in universal song
the crownèd Lord of all
