Topic: You Have Enough

MEMORIZE: For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. Zechariah 4:10

BIBLE READING JOHN 6:5-13

[5]When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

[6]And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

[7]Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

[8]One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,

[9]There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

[10]And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

[11]And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

[12]When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

[13]Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

MESSAGE:

One lie of the devil, which every child of God must reject, is that you have nothing good in your hands that can make you prosper. Contrary to this lie, the Holy Spirit in Job 8:7 says to you: “Though thy beginning is small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”.

If you despise your small beginnings, you will end up like the unprofitable servant in Matthew who thought that his talent was not enough and hid it. In the end, he had nothing because it was eventually taken away from him, and he was punished for being slothful. Beloved, if you have a physical or spiritual gift that you are looking down on, the Lord asked me to tell you to value it before it is taken away from you.

If you are given an assignment in the church, school, or home, and you think it belittles you, embrace it well and do it as unto God. Imagine if the boy with the five loaves of bread and two fishes had refused to release them because he thought it would not be sufficient to feed the multitude. Well, he had just enough for Jesus to prove Himself.

KEY POINT

Your little is enough, use it.

HYMN

HYMN 1 – BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE

  1. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
    All ye that are upright in heart;
    And ye that have made Him your choice,
    Bid sadness and sorrow depart.

CHORUS
Rejoice! Rejoice!..
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
Rejoice! Rejoice!.
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!

  1. Be joyful for He is the Lord,
    On earth and in heaven supreme;
    He fashions and rules by His words;
    The “Mighty” and “Strong” to redeem.
  2. What tho’ in the conflict for right
    Your enemies almost prevail!
    God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
    Are more than the foes which assail.
  3. Thơ’ darkness Surround you by day,
    Your sky by the night be o’er cast,
    Let nothing your spirit dismay.
    But trust till the danger is past.
  4. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
    His praises proclaiming in song:
    With harp, and with organ, and voice,
    The loud hallelujahs prolong!
