Title: Be An Intercessor
Memorize: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:10-18 (Nkjv)
[10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
[11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
[12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
[13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
[14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
[15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
[16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
[17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
[18] And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Message:
I came across a term, ‘soft life’, which young people use to mean that a person wants his or her life to be comfortable, easy, and free from stress or responsibility.
Many young people today don’t want to be burdened with any responsibility or tasks, yet they want to enjoy the good things in life.
My dear child, some of the people you see living an affluent life today may be fighting battles that are unknown to you.
Your perception of them may have been clouded by the good parts of their lives that they post on social media.
It is important to note that life is not ‘soft’, and you will face challenges as you grow.
This is why you have to put on the whole armour of God now to fortify yourself against whatever challenges that may arise.
Each piece of God’s armour, such as truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His word, is to protect and equip you for spiritual battles.
Beloved, many of the battles that we face aren’t physical; they’re spiritual.
Whether it is peer pressure, fear, or doubt, God has given you the tools to overcome them.
All you need to do is ask Him to strengthen you for the challenges ahead, and He will empower you with the strength to overcome them.
Prayer Point:
Father, please help me to fight all my battles, and give me the grace to stand firm, in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 14: HO, MY COMRADES! SEE THE SIGNAL
1 HO, my comrades! See the signal
Waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh!
Refrain:
“Hold the Fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
“By Thy grace we will.”
2 See the mighty host advancing,
Satan leading on:
Mighty men around us falling,
Courage almost gone.
3 See the glorious banner waving!
Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s name we’ll triumph
Over every foe!
4 Fierce and long the battle rages,
But our help is near:
Onward comes our great Commander,
Cheer, my comrades, cheer!
