Title: Joy Ahead
Memorize: Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Philippians 4:7 (Nkjv)
[7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Message:
In the journey of life, there are moments when you will face challenges, difficulties, or uncertainties that may dampen your spirit.
However, as God’s child, you are reminded in today’s memory verse that when you put your trust in God, He will fill you with joy and peace through the Holy Spirit.
Do not be discouraged by any challenge whatsoever; rather, look beyond them and anticipate the joy ahead of you.
It was empty and lonely when we first moved into the Redemption Camp. There was almost no means of survival; my children and I would go into the bush and hunt for bush meat.
I was almost discouraged, but God kept reassuring me that this would only last for a while.
I thank God for my wife because she was very understanding; she left comfort to stay with me during those trying times, and today, I can boldly say that Redemption Camp is now globally recognised. It is now referred to as Redemption City.
Psalm 30:5 (Nkjv) says, “…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
My dear child, no matter how tough you think a subject, lecturer, or situation is, I want you to approach it with a positive attitude and mindset.
Hold on to the belief that there is joy ahead of you, and keep praying about the situation.
Key Point:
When things get tough, ask the Holy Spirit to help sustain your joy.
HYMN 4: BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1.Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice!
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!
2.Be joyful, for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His word;
The Mighty and strong to redeem
3.What though in the conflict for right
Your enemies almost prevail,
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4.Though darkness surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’ercast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay,
But trust till the danger is past.
5.Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song;
With harp, and with organ and voice
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
