Title: Time Waster?
Memorize: The lazy man will not plow because of winter; he will beg during harvest and have nothing. Proverbs 20:4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Proverbs 21:25 (Nkjv)
[25] The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
Message:
A sluggard is a person who is slow to do what he or she should, hence mismanaging time.
A lot of people say, “Time is money”, but I know that time is more than that; time is life.
Every activity a man engages in is done within the context of time. At creation, God assigned time to specific tasks.
At the end of one week, He listed all His achievements for each day.
If a fellow leaves his or her house or hostel without setting goals for the day, such a fellow will most likely waste valuable hours of his or her life that day.
If you can’t set goals and follow them up with a sense of commitment, you are a time wasting sluggard, and as such, God will be displeased.
Another habit of a sluggard is making excuses. A sluggard can make excuses based on weather conditions.
He or she might say, “l can’t go to the lecture hall because the weather is too hot.” Successful people don’t make excuses.
My dear child, in which area of your life are you making excuses instead of taking action? Come off every excuse today and do the needful.
Key Point:
Don’t get into the habit of making excuses.
HYMN 55: CHRISTIAN, SEEK NOT YET REPOSE
1 Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose;
Hear Thy Guardian Angel Say,
“Thou Art In The Midst Of Foes:
Watch And Pray!”
2 Principalities And Powers,
Mustering Their Unseen Array,
Wait For Thy Unguarded Hours:
“Watch And Pray.”
3 Gird Thy Heavenly Armour On;
Wear It Every Night And Day
Ambush’d Lies The Evil One:
“Watch And Pray.”
4 Hear The Victors Who O’ercame;
Still They Mark Each Warrior’s Way;
All With One Sweet Voice Exclaim,
“Watch And Pray!”
5 Hear, Above AlI, Hear Thy Lord,
Him Thou Lovest To Obey;
Hide Within Thy Heart His Word:
“Watch And Pray.”
6 Watch, As If On That Alone
Hung The Issue Of The Day;
Pray, That Help May Be Sent Down:
“Watch And Pray.”
