Title: Wherever You Go
Memorize: And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Genesis 39:2
Bible Reading: Psalms 30:5
[5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Message:
As a teenager, Joseph faced adversity: he was hated by his brothers and was eventually sold into slavery by them. However, despite his circumstances, he remained faithful to God. For instance, he refused to bow to the pressure to fornicate with his master’s wife. Even when he landed in prison for an offence he did not commit, Joseph continued to trust in God’s plan. Later, God granted him favor and eventually elevated him to the position of Prime Minister in a foreign land.
Nowadays, many teenagers misbehave and willingly sin against God when confronted by lack, injustice, or hardship. They try to cut corners to avoid difficult situations. Some of them behave really well in their homes; however, when they are outside their homes, they start to act in a wayward manner. My dear child, do not be like them; emulate Joseph, who stood his ground against sin and maintained a life of integrity and faithfulness wherever he found himself. Do not exhibit multiple personalities; be a good ambassador of Christ wherever you find yourself.
Prayer Point;
Lord, please make me a good ambassador of Christ everywhere I find myself.
HYMN 43: LEAD US HEAVENLY FATHER, LEAD US
1 Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us
O’er The World’s Tempestuous Sea;
Guard Us, Guide Us, Keep Us, Feed Us,
For We Have No Help But Thee,
Yet Possessing Every Blessing
If Our God Our Father Be.
2 Saviour, Breathe Forgiveness O’er Us;
All Our Weakness Thou Dost Know;
Thou Didst Tread This Earth Before Us,
Thou Didst Feel lts Keenest Woe;
Lone And Dreary, Faint And Weary,
Through The Desert Thou Didst Go.
3 Spirit Of Our God, Descending,
Fill Our Hearts With Heavenly Joy,
Love With Every Passion Blending,
Pleasure That Can Never Cloy;
Thus Provided, Pardoned, Guided,
Nothing Can Our Peace Destroy.
