Title: Let There Be Order!
Memorize: Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40
BIBLE READING 2 THESSALONIANS 3:6-7
[6]Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
[7]For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
Interestingly, my life had an order. When I was younger, I had a clear-cut vision for my life to be the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa, and that gave me a direction in my life.
I was also interested in sports and music, so I created routines in my daily schedules to accommodate all these activities.
When I eventually gave my life to Jesus Christ, I included Bible study in my schedule because I needed to grow spiritually as I was growing in other areas too.
You shouldn’t be excellent in spiritual things and mediocre in your academics or hobbies.
Orderliness eliminates confusion, mediocrity, and non-productivity.
I pray that God will give you the wisdom to become orderly in the mighty name of Jesus.
Orderliness is a characteristic of Heaven, as we see in Psalm 136:5-9, In the beginning, God ordered the course of the universe by His word.
This is why we must give God’s word prominence in our lives. There has to be a balance, which comes by putting things in the right order in your life.
PRAYER POINT
Father, please set my life in order and help me work on any area that is presently disorganized in the mighty name of Jesus.
HYMN 5 – TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE
1. Take my life and let it
Consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my moment and my days
Let them flow ceaseless praise.
2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee
3. Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king;
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
4. Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.
5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee.
