TOPIC: IT WILL COME BACK
MEMORISE: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7
BIBLE READING: ECCLESIASTES 11:1-6
1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
MESSAGE:
The principle of sowing and reaping is a foundational truth in the Bible. Whatever a person plants, whether good or bad, will return to him or her. This principle applies to your time, actions, attitudes, and relationships. If you sow kindness, you will reap kindness; if you sow dishonesty, it will also come back to you in due time. The seeds you plant today will shape the harvest you will receive in the future.
I once gave out some of my ties as gifts to my pastors. A month later, I started receiving beautiful ties from different people. Encouraged by this, I gave away some of my shoes, and after three months, I began to receive many new pairs. The harvest took time, but it eventually came, reminding me that God is always faithful to His promises.
My dear child, it is important to note that sowing isn’t only about material things. If you help someone who is in need, encourage someone who is emotionally broken, or give to the poor and underprivileged, it will come back to you in ways you never expected. Always strive to sow good seeds. I pray that you will sow only good seeds that will yield beautiful harvests, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT:
Sow good seeds so that you can reap good harvests.
HYMN 15: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]
3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]
4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]
