Title: Live Out Your Salvation
Memorize: For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Titus 2:11 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Philippians 2:12-14 (Nkjv)
[12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[13] for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
[14] Do all things without complaining and disputing,
Message:
Salvation is a precious gift from God; however, it also requires a daily commitment to live in accordance with His will.
After a person accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour, such a fellow must actively walk in obedience, demonstrating the transformation that salvation brings.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 (Nkjv)
The Scripture above makes us understand that we must take our walk with God seriously.
I remember when I gave my life to Christ and learned that God frowns on alcoholism and immorality.
I didn’t hesitate; I cleared out the bar in my house and confessed my past relationships to my wife.
Even though God had already forgiven me, I needed to ‘work out my salvation by taking practical steps toward holiness daily, which I still do to date.
My dear child, to live out your salvation, you must grow in obedience, love, and holiness.
Surrender completely to God every day, allow His Spirit to lead you, and let your life reflect Jesus wherever you go.
I pray that as you take these steps, the glory of God will radiate all over your life in the mighty name of Jesus.
Key Point:
To live out your salvation, you must walk in total obedience to God.
HYMN 5: PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOR
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
do not pass me by.
Refrain:
Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry;
while on others Thou art calling,
do not pass me by.
2 Let me at a throne of mercy
find a sweet relief,
kneeling there in deep contrition;
help my unbelief. [Refrain]
3 Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
heal my wounded, broken spirit,
save me by Thy grace. [Refrain]
4 Thou, the Spring of all my comfort,
more than life to me;
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee? [Refrain]
