TOPIC: Organize Your Life
MEMORISE: Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40
BIBLE READING: Luke 14:28-30
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and count the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
MESSAGE:
I have heard quite a number of people give me accolades for being highly organized, especially during major programmer in the church. They think I am a superhero when food is ready on time, the conveniences and environment are cleaned regularly, guests are properly attended to, and children are handled properly by their teachers in their auditorium. The truth of the matter is that God has raised help for me through the gift of men and women He has given us to support the church.
One of the strategies I developed as a young wife and mother is journaling. I keep a diary with me everywhere l go to know what should be done every day and also assign responsibilities to able men and women. The Holy Spirit has been my source of strength but He has also helped me to organize my life, and this is what you must learn as a young boy or girl.
When you wake up in the morning, don’t wait for your parents, guardians, or anyone else to tell you what to do. Make your bed, clean your room, and arrange your things in the right places. Also, don’t throw your belongings around the house when you get back from school and expect someone else to clear them up. Always make sure you are organized.
ACTION POINT
Before you sleep each night, write a to-do list for the following day.
HYMN 33 – Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah!
1 Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah!
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me now and evermore,
Feed me now and evermore.
2 Open Thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow:
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar,
Lead me all my journey through:
Strong deliverer! Strong deliverer!
Be Thou still my strength and shield,
Be Thou still my strength and shield.
3 If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside:
Bear me through the swelling torrent,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side:
Songs of praises! Song of praises!
I will ever give to Thee,
I will ever give to Thee.
4 Saviour, come! we long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with Thee above;
And to know in full communion,
All the sweetness of Thy love,
Come, Lord Jesus! Come Lord Jesus!
Take Thy waiting people home,
Take Thy waiting people home.
