Title: Hidden Treasures
Memorize: I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45:3
Bible Reading: Romans 8:28 (Nkjv)
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Message:
Treasures are precious objects of great value that bring riches and prestige to the owner.
However, real treasures are spiritual, and they have eternal value, which comes from knowing and serving God.
Such treasures are usually hidden and could turn out to be anything around us.
For example, the slave girl in Naaman’s house who made him get his miracle (2 Kings 5:2-3) and the little jar of oil in the hand of the widow of Zarephath (2 Kings 4:1-7) are hidden treasures.
I cited the above examples of an ordinary thing and a person that were both hidden treasures to explain that God is able to bring precious stones out of rocks and make all things work together for the good of His children.
In many cases, treasures are not easily identified. This is why you must develop a good relationship with God so that He can open your eyes to see treasures in ordinary things.
If you want to have access to treasures that will turn your life around for good, you should live in total submission and obedience to God.
Prayer Point:
Father, please open my eyes to see the hidden treasures in and around my life.
HYMN 51 – BREATHE ON ME, BREATH OF GOD
1. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
2. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
To do and to endure.
3. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
Till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
Glows with Thy fire divine.
4. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
Of Thine eternity.
