Title: You are Nothing Without Him
Memorize: I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Luke 19:29-38 (Nkjv)
[29] And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,
[30] saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
[31] And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”
[32] So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.
[33] But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”
[34] And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”
[35] Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.
[36] And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
[37] Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,
[38] saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Message:
I heard someone preach recently, and he said that if God leaves him, there will be little left of him. I do not know how that is possible because, in my case, there will be absolutely nothing left of me if God ever leaves me. I am fully aware that without God, I am absolutely nothing, and I make sure to tell Him that regularly.
The ass that Jesus rode in today’s Bible reading must have looked around and seen people laying their clothes on the ground for it to walk on as they sang and danced joyously. It must have felt really special at that point. However, the moment Jesus stopped riding it, it returned to its ordinary existence and probably went back to being used on a farm.
My dear child, do not think you are smart and can do all things by yourself. God can change anyone’s status in an instant; therefore, you must do everything to ensure that He is always on your side.
Key Point
Without God you can do nothing.

Why did people cast their clothes on the ass in today’s Bible reading?
HYMN: 33- GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH!
1 Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah!
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me now and evermore,
Feed me now and evermore.
2 Open Thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow:
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar,
Lead me all my journey through:
Strong deliverer! Strong deliverer!
Be Thou still my strength and shield,
Be Thou still my strength and shield.
3 If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside:
Bear me through the swelling torrent,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side:
Songs of praises! Song of praises!
I will ever give to Thee,
I will ever give to Thee.
4 Saviour, come! we long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with Thee above;
And to know in full communion,
All the sweetness of Thy love,
Come, Lord Jesus! Come Lord Jesus!
Take Thy waiting people home,
Take Thy waiting people home.
