Title: Let Compassion Flow
Memorize: So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart Acts 2:46 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Acts 2:42-47 (Nkjv)
[42] And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
[43] Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
[44] Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
[45] and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
[46] So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
[47] praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
Message:
In today’s Bible reading, we see that the Apostles in the early church understood that God’s love is the bedrock of the Christian faith. They did everything in common and treated one another with love. For example, the Bible says that whenever they assembled to pray or share the word in their houses, they broke bread. This meant that they ate together as one in God’s presence, and this became a constant practice that attracted more people to the church daily.
God’s children win people to Christ by showing genuine compassion and giving to them. By the grace of God, you might have heard testimonies of people who attended some of our programmes and decided to stay because Mummy G.O. shared food and other materials with them. Many of them saw the kind gesture as God answering their prayers, so they kept coming until God’s word started transforming their hearts. Today, some of them are missionaries in different fields, spreading the love of Christ globally.
My dear child, when you preach to people and attend to their needs with genuine compassion, they will know that you truly care about them. With this, they will become attracted to your Father, the Almighty God.
Key Point:
Showing love and compassion to people makes preaching the gospel more effective.

Hymn 16: Praise Him, Praise Him Jesus Our Blessed Redeemer
- Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus,
our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth! His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! Hail Him! Highest angels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His Children,
In His arms He carries them all day long;
O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of His zion,
Praise Him! praise Him!
Ever in joyful song! - Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
For our sins He suffered and bled and died;
He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,
Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now. - Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
Heav’nly portals, loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;
Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.
