Title: Redeemed From Fear

Memorize: And release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:15 (Nkjv)

Bible Reading: Galatians 4:4-7 (Nkjv)

[4] But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

[5] to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

[6] And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

[7] Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Message:

The benefits of redemption are innumerable. Anytime I remember what I suffered in the hands of satan and his agents before the blood of Jesus Christ redeemed me, I cannot help but thank God for the salvation of my soul.

Fear was a major source of torment before I met Jesus Christ.

This fear was passed unto me from my mother who, by the grace of God, also later became saved.

For fear that I, being her only son, might be killed, my mother sent me far away from my hometown.

I could not return for many years for fear of death and the wicked people there.

However, when we surrendered to the lordship of Jesus Christ, we were saved and liberated from the spirit of fear.

This is why I decree, if you have been living in perpetual fear, you are delivered from that torment now in the name of Jesus.

Hebrews 2:14-15 says:

[14] Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

[15] and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Dear child, hand over your fears to the Lord in prayers, and you will be alright.

HYMN 4 – ON A HILL FAR AWAY

1. On a hill far away
Stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross
Where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

CHORUS
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross;
And exchange it someday for a crown.

2. Oh, that old rugged cross
So despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God
Left His glory above,
To bear it to dark Calvary.

3. In the old rugged cross,
Stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For ’twas on that old cross
Jesus suffered and died,
To par -don and sanctify me.

4. To the old rugged cross
I will ever be true,
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day
To my home far away,
Where His glory for-ever share
