Title: God Can Use You Too
Memorize: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 14:12-14 (Nkjv)
[12] “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
[13] And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
[14] If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Message:
It has always been my desire that all members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God will have great faith and be used by God to perform miracles. Some Christians believe that God uses only pastors or evangelists to perform miracles; that is not true. Inasmuch as you have given your life to Christ, He can perform miracles through you, even as a teenager.
In today’s Bible reading, Jesus said that anyone who believes in Him will do the works He did, and that they will do even greater works. Since Jesus healed the sick, you can heal the sick too. He made the lame walk; you can do the same and even more. He made the blind to see, and you can do likewise. All you need to do is to have faith and pray in His name. You can then leave the rest to Him.
My dear child, many ministers the Lord uses to perform miracles today started with little faith. However, their consistency with God kept them growing spiritually. You too can begin with faith that is as little as a mustard seed. The more you exercise that faith by praying for others and believing God’s word, the more your faith will grow.
Action Point:
Look for a sick person around you and pray for him or her.
Bible Quiz:
What is the most important thing you need for God to use you to perform miracles as a Christian?
HYMN 17: GOD SENT HIS SON, THEY CALLED HIM JESUS
1 God sent His son,
They called Him, Jesus;
He came to love,
Heal and forgive;
He lived and died
To buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there
To prove my Savior lives!
Chorus:
Because He lives,
I can face tomorrow!
Because He lives,
All fear is gone.
Because I know
He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
2 How sweet to hold
A newborn baby,
And feel the pride
And joy he brings;
But greater still
The calm assurance:
This child can face
Uncertain days because He Lives!
3 And then one day,
I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight life’s final
War with pain;
And then, as death
Gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory
And I’ll know He lives!
