Title: Life After Now
Memorize: For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Colossians 3:2-3 (Nkjv)
[2] Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
[3] For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Message:
One reason many young people live recklessly is that they rarely think beyond the present moment. They focus only on “now” and forget that life does not end here.
The Bible clearly teaches that the choices you make today can affect where and how you will spend eternity (Matthew 16:25–26). This is why living with eternity in view is one of the wisest decisions you can make.
Take a moment to examine how you spend your time. Are you investing in things that truly matter—such as your relationship with God, godly friendships, academics, skill development, and spiritual growth?
Or are you overly focused on things that will eventually fade away, like fame, social media popularity, and material possessions? In 1 Timothy 6:19, the Bible encourages believers to lay up treasures for the future by building a solid foundation for eternal life.
My dear child, avoid living carelessly. Instead, make your life count for Christ. You were created with a unique purpose, and God desires to use you to impact others for His glory. When you live with heaven in mind, you will gradually let go of worldly distractions and focus on what truly matters—eternity.
Reflection:
Are you preparing for eternity?
Hymn 3: All to Jesus I Surrender
1 All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
2 All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. [Refrain]
3 All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me. [Refrain]
