Title: Turn By Turn
Memorize: But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 9:4 (Nkjv)
[4] I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Message:
One of my sons in the Lord usually says, “When it is my turn, my star will shine.” About forty years ago, he was a bus driver in Lagos, but he got converted and decided to start working for RCCG as a full-time worker. As a youth, he frequently joined others on evangelism from town to town and organised prayer and Bible study sessions in church. He even joined construction laborers to help in the construction of the first building of the RCCG National Headquarters and Maternity Center in Ebute Metta. Today, to the glory of God, he has been promoted to assist me specially in a vital area of the ministry.
My dear child, I know the members of your generation want a ‘soft life’, but I must tell you that only tough people survive tough times. It is better to struggle and work hard now with the youthful strength you have and then retire into enjoyment in old age. Don’t be a child who wants to get everything quickly on a platter of gold because not all that glitters is gold. Your time of enjoyment is coming, but keep working seriously on your goals until then.
Key Point:
When it is your turn, your star will shine.
HYMN 33- GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH!
1 Guide me, O my great Redeemer,
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but you are mighty;
hold me with your powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
feed me now and evermore,
feed me now and evermore.
2 Open now the crystal fountain,
where the healing waters flow.
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
ever be my strength and shield,
ever be my strength and shield.
3 When I tread the verge of Jordan,
bid my anxious fears subside.
Death of death, and hell’s Destruction,
land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever sing to you,
I will ever sing to you.
