Title: Keep Preaching
Memorize: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Matthew 28:18-20 (Nkjv)
[18] And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
[19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
[20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Message:
When Jesus sent His disciples to preach in different towns and villages, He made them understand that some fellows would reject them.
However, He encouraged them to dust their sandals in those places and move on to preach elsewhere (Mark 6:7-11).
l once read in the news about some teenagers who got bullied in school because they preached about Jesus.
If you have been bullied or persecuted because you have preached to some people, I celebrate your boldness to talk about your Saviour.
I also encourage you not to stop preaching because of those who reject you. You Can meet up with other believers so you can keep sharing the gospel along with them.
Beloved, learn from Jesus, who kept changing locations to reach different people.
He did not engage in unnecessary confrontations or arguments; He simply spoke with authority that won many people to God.
My dear child, the world needs Jesus; without Him, there is no escape from hell.
Therefore, you should not be afraid to tell someone about Jesus. Take it upon yourself to share the gospel with at least one person before you sleep each day.
Action Point:
Tell one person about Jesus before the end of today.
HYMN 61: TAKE THE NAME OF JESUS WITH YOU
1 Take the name of Jesus with you,
Child of sorrow and of woe.
It will joy and comfort give you,
Take it then where’er you go.
Chorus:
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven.
2 Take the name of JesUs ever
As a shield from evr’y snare;
If temptations ’round you gather,
Breathe that holy name in prayer.
3 Oh, the precious name of Jesus,
How it thrills our souls with joy,
When His loving arms receive us,
And His songs Our tongues employ!
4 At the name of Jesus bowing,
Falling prostrate at His feet
King of kings, in heaven we’ll crown Him
When our journey is complete.
