Title: Use Your Gifts For God
Memorize: Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; Romans 12:6 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Exodus 31:1-3 (Nkjv)
[1] Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
[2] “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
[3] And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
Message:
Just as the body has different parts that work together for it to function properly, so also does every child of God have unique gifts that enable the Church, the Body of Christ, to function properly.
In today’s Bible reading, God filled Bezalel with wisdom, understanding, and skills to build the tabernacle according to divine specifications.
God is the source of all abilities, and He gives them to people for specific purposes.
Therefore, whatever gift you have whether it’s singing, writing, digital skills, helping others, or even creating things – I want you to know that it is from God.
Today, some teenagers make the mistake of hiding their gifts. Don’t be like them.
You must consider the parable of the talents that Jesus told in Matthew 25:14-30, and use your gift to serve God.
When you use your gifts to serve God, you’re showing gratitude for what He has given you, and also edifying the Body of Christ.
In addition, using your gifts for God can motivate other teenagers to also put their gifts to use in God’s Vineyard.
Action Point:
Identify the things you’re good at or passionate about and ask God to show you how to use them for His glory.
HYMN 5: PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOR
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
do not pass me by.
Refrain:
Savior, Savior, hear my humble cry;
while on others Thou art calling,
do not pass me by.
2 Let me at a throne of mercy
find a sweet relief,
kneeling there in deep contrition;
help my unbelief. [Refrain]
3 Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
heal my wounded, broken spirit,
save me by Thy grace. [Refrain]
4 Thou, the Spring of all my comfort,
more than life to me;
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee? [Refrain]
