Title: In His Presence
Memorize: You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Psalm 24:3-6
[3] Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
[4] He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
[5] He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
[6] This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah
Message:
The presence of God is the best place anyone can be in. Those who spend time in God’s presence are always in control of life’s situations.
Elijah was just coming from the presence of God in 1 Kings 17 when he commanded that there should be no rain or dew in Israel for some years, and it was so.
If you want to be in control of your life’s situations, then you really need to spend time in God’s presence.
Today’s Bible reading tells us the criteria required to be in God’s presence:
1) You must have clean hands: You must not steal or engage in other immoral things.
2) Your heart must be pure: You must be careful of what you let into your heart and what you meditate on.
3) Your heart must not be lifted up to vanity: 1 John 2:15 says that you should not love the world or things of the world because if you love the world, then the love of the Father is not in you.
4) You must not be a liar: Revelation 22:15 makes it clear that liars will not be allowed into the kingdom of God.
Prayer Point:
Father, please help me to be a carrier of Your presence.
HYMN 9 – IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, GOD ONLY WISE
1 Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious,
Thy great name we praise.
2 Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains
of goodness and love.
3 To all life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.
4 Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render, O help Us to see:
‘Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.
