Title: Jonathan Prayed
Memorize: The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 14:6-10 (Nkjv)
[6] Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
[7] So his armorbearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.”
[8] Then Jonathan said, “Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them.
[9] If they say thus to us, ‘Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them.
[10] But if they say thus, ‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the Lord has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.”
Message:
As a friend to David, Jonathan displayed courage and devotion, even in the face of opposition from his own father, King Saul.
He prayed for success in battle against the Philistines, showing faith in God’s ability to save. In return, God demonstrated His power by granting him victory regardless of number.
Despite the fact that he belonged in the king’s army, Jonathan did not rely on his team’s skill, training, or level of preparation to fight the enemies.
Rather, he relied on God’s ability to deliver His people from their enemies.
As beautiful as Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, there is a superior AI – the Alpha Intelligence, which comes from God Himself.
No matter how skillful, professional, good, beautiful, or intelligent you are, some victories or achievements will not come to you without God.
Therefore, rather than being boastful of your abilities, make your boast in God, who makes things work for you.
Key Point:
Artificial Intelligence cannot be compared to Alpha Intelligence.
HYMN 9 – IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, GOD ONLY WISE
1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious,
the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious,
Thy great name we praise.
2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting,
Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains
high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains
of goodness and love.
3. To all life Thou givest,
to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish
as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish,
but nought changeth Thee.
4. Great Father of Glory,
pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee,
all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render, O help us to see
