Title: His Favor Locates

MEMORIZE: And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!” Esther 5:3

BIBLE READING ESTHER 5:1-3

[1]Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house

[2]So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

[3]And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!”

MESSAGE:

The first point to note from today’s Bible text is that Esther only stood at the inner court of the palace; she hadn’t gone close to the king, but he saw her first from a distance. This is to say that no matter where you are, when the time for God to favor you comes, He will definitely locate you. May the Almighty God locate you today in Jesus’ name.

The second thing to note is that the king didn’t just see Esther, he focused his attention on her. When the time for God to favor you comes, God won’t just see you; He will focus His attention on you like He focused His attention on the man by the pool of Bethesda (John 5:2-6).

In the name that is above every other name, God will focus His attention on you today. Whatever has been blocking the eyes of those who will help you will also be removed in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please let me receive your favor today.

HYMN 10 – PRAISE, MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN

1. Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
To His feet your tribute bring.
Ransom’d, heal’d, restor’d, forgiven,
Who like thee His praises should sing?
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise the everlasting King!

2. Praise Him for His grace and favor
To our fathers in distress.
Praise Him, still the same as ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Glorious in His faithfulness!

3. Father-like He tends and spares us; Well our feeble frame He knows.
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Widely yet His mercy flows!

4. Angels, help us to adore Him; Ye behold Him face to face.
Sun and moon, bow down before Him,
Dwellers all in time and space.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise with us the God of grace!
