[6] Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.
[7] And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.”
[8] But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand.
[9] There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
[10] So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.
Message:
One of my daughters told her fellow teenagers in a teenager’s church one Sunday, “When God promised to send you destiny helpers, He did not mean sugar daddies or mummies.”
Sadly, some girls and boys now consider dating a successful married man or woman as a way out of poverty.
My dear child, I want you to know that the free will God gave to man may sometimes be used as a trap by the enemy to lead a fellow into bondage and eternal destruction.
If you are dating a married man or woman, I plead with you in the name of Jesus to end it now because failure to do so will only lead to your destruction.
We often tell the teenage girls in our rehabilitation centers that the spiritual consequences of premarital sex far outweigh the brief pleasure.
Joseph could have seen Potiphar’s wife as his ticket to freedom and prosperity, but he considered premarital sex as a great wickedness and sin against God.
Beloved, no wicked person or sinner will make it to heaven.
If you are struggling with sexual lust, please run to Jesus today, and ask Him to help you to overcome it.
Also, if you are engaging in premarital sex or dating a married person, put an end to it now!
