Title: Victory Through Praise
Memorize: Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. 2 Chronicles 20:22 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Acts 16:25-26 (Nkjv)
[25] But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
[26] Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed
Message:
Praise is a weapon of warfare for believers. Praising God is acknowledging Him for His sovereignty, mighty power, and love and grace towards you.
God is always moved by praise, and when you praise Him in the midst of challenges, He will arise to help you.
In today’s Bible reading, Paul and Silas were bound in prison. They had every reason to be sad and not praise God, but they did not allow their situation to hinder them from praising the Lord.
While they sang and praised the Almighty, the prison doors opened, and the chains of every prisoner fell off. That is the power of praise.
My dear child, learn to praise and appreciate God even when you are faced with challenges.
If your family is going througha difficult time at the moment, employ the weapon of praise.
I assure you that as you praise God wholeheartedly today, He will come through for you and your family.
Key Point:
Praise God, even in the midst of challenges.
HYMN 72: O WORSHIP THE KING
1 O worship the King
All-glorious above,
O gratefully sing
His power and His love:
Our shield and defender,
The Ancient of Days,
Pavilioned in splendor
And girded with praise.
2 O tell of His might
O sing of His grace,
whose robe is the light,
Whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath
The deep thunder-clouds form,
And dark is His path
On the wings of the storm.
3 Thy bountiful care,
What tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air,
It shines in the light;
It streams from the hills,
It descends to the plain,
And sweetly distils
In the dew and the rain.
4 Frail children of dust,
And feeble as frail,
In Thee do we trust,
Nor find Thee to fail.
Thy mercies, how tender,
How firm to the end,
Our Maker, Defender,
Redeemer, and Friend!
5 O measureless Might,
ineffable Love!
While angels delight
To hymn Thee above,
The humbler creation,
Though feeble their lays,
With true adoration
Shall lisp to Thy praise.
