Title: From Pain To Purpose
Memorize: But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 (Nkjv)
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, [4] who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
[5] For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
[6] Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
[7] And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.
Message:
Pain is uncomfortable. It is sometimes unbearable and often feels unfair.
When I was younger, I faced situations that made me ask questions such as, “Why me?” Pain can make a person feel like life is against him or her, but do you know that God can use a person’s pain to achieve something great in the fellow’s life?
Beloved, you may not understand why certain things are happening in your life right now, but nothing is a waste in God’s hands.
He can use a person’s failures, rejections, and trials to shape him or her into someone stronger and wiser.
What sometimes feels like the end can actually be the beginning of something greater.
Many powerful testimonies come from people who went through deep struggles, and their pain became a source of hope for others.
My dear child, have you ever been betrayed by a friend, lost a loved one, or struggled with feelings of failure?
Instead of asking, why is this happening to me, try asking, Lord, what do you want me to learn from this?
Let your pain refine you and not define you. Hold on to God’s faithfulness because your story will soon become a testimony.
Key Point:
God can use moments of pain to achieve something great in your life.
HYMN 8: THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR
1 Through the love of God our Saviour,
all will be well.
Free and changeless is his favour,
all, all is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us,
perfect is the grace that sealed us,
strong the hand stretched forth to shield us,
all must be well.
2 Though we pass through tribulation,
all will be well.
Ours is such a full salvation,
all, all is well.
Happy, still in God confiding,
fruitful, if in Christ abiding,
holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,
all must be well.
3 We expect a bright tomorrow,
all will be well.
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
‘All, all is well.’
On our Father’s love relying,
Jesus every need supplying,
in our living, in our dying,
all must be well.
